Since May 2011, I'd been working on a My Vitriol tribute album. As of January 31, 2012, it has been put up online, along with an original album entitled Amusement Park. As a fan, I've been wanting to cover these songs for a long time and I'm really excited to have other My Vitriol fans finally hear it too.

I've chosen 14 songs that span their career thus far, from older recordings like "Parade" and "By The Water" to newer unofficial releases like "We've Lost Our Way" and "The Agony And The Xtc". October has even tackled what would have been the full version of "Lord Knows How I've Tried" (as opposed to the "mellow" one from A Pyrrhic Victory).

Thank you to those of you who will give this a listen. There's still a handful of us on here that believe in the power of this band, or at least what they once were. I'm hoping that with this album, we can hold on a little longer until Som and co. treat us to more music. Thanks again, and enjoy.

The 'Lord Knows How I've Tried' version is really great!
In some songs I miss the anger in the vocals but it's a different perspective and cool too.
I still have to listen 'Amusement Park' its in entirely but what I've heard so far is promising.

Keep on shoegazin'.

Smile

Thanks Medrano!

I'll admit I'm a more soft-driven singer, if a singer at all. I'd been wanting to make a tribute album for a long time and knew I could never do the originals justice, but I had so much fun recording these songs that I couldn't keep them to myself. Thanks for listening!

I'm in love with Disappear+Lift. Awesome tunes!!
The soft guitar on 'Lift' reminds me of 'the cure-wish era'.

I've been listening 'October' and 'JJ72' obsessively these days...

Thank you so much! I'm curious about JJ72, I'll see what I can find.

JJ was a great band!. Their third album was never released (Sony fucked it all... again the industry machinery).
Have a look at 'Heat' and 'Everything' on youtube. These songs were meant to be on the third album. Sad
