anyone into this band, very grunge/shoegazy. Sound absolutely massive. I hear a lot of hints of MV in there. They may not be directly influenced, but I think people on here would enjoy them.

I didn't know that band, it's pretty good!. Thanks!
The singer looks like Courtneys' Live Throught This and the video for 'Whirring' is great. Nice find!

Thanks for sharing this band. I had never heard of them, but I'm definitely hearing/loving the MV tinge in their music.

Just saw them in a small venue in sf on Monday. I have to say that they put on a damn good show. That was the best concert experience I've ever had. I highly recommend catching them if you can. Lead singer is a babe and is entertaining to watch live.

They have released a new track for free, Wolf's Law:

Their second album will be called Wolf's Law, but that track isn't going on it. I hope they can get close to The Big Roar with the second album, but I don't see them matching it. They're still a brilliant band though, love them.

Saw joy formidable again in nov. I have to say they sounded better and this band is becoming a favorite. Nice to have a second album, of what so far is sounding really good, within a reasonable time frame. "The maw maw song" is one of the sickest songs live. A brought a friend that is primarily into rap and he was head banging by the end of the night.

There's two or three good songs on Wolf's Law, but nothing more, for me it's got absolutely nothing on The Big Roar. I'm tired of bands piling strings on their albums and calling it a "new sound".

that whole thing is f*****g awesome. we have different tastes in music. i dont mind orchestral additions if they are done right and i thought they were well placed. ive heard some of their interviews and they have never said it was a "new" sound. it isnt the same as big roar but if people expect the music to sound the same it would get boring fast. also if you havent seen them live, that is where the songs come alive and they really shine.

Saw them in Sacramento last sat. This is the third time in a year and they were unbelievablely better each time. New album grew on me even more and is still in heavy rotation. Took my wife and two Friends and we met up with friends and were all blown away. Silent treatment is awesome live, to me was the weakest track but now is a favorite. Look for a band named guards, they were pretty good too.
